Description
Authentic "The Beetall" gas-powered laundry box iron was manufactured by the Beetall Manufacturing Company in Birmingham, England (circa 1891–1903).
Designed as a revolutionary self-heating tool before electrification, it features a front-facing intake nozzle to connect to a domestic gas line and a distinctive sweeping rear exhaust chimney to safely vent heat away from the operator. The top plate retains its original, beautifully detailed circular brass medallion showcasing the signature reclining lion on a globe logo.
The heavy cast-iron base plate is solid and uncracked with an incredibly smooth soleplate. It showcases a stunning, honest age-related old patina and a turned wooden handle grip with authentic charring near the rear mount from decades of history. Perfect as a high-end display piece, addition to an antique tool collection, or historical rustic decor.
